On March 12th, Governor J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot restricted all public and private gatherings of more than 250, especially with audiences of older or vulnerable populations, by requesting these gatherings be suspended for a minimum of 30 days and potentially until May 1. Filament Theatre’s Board of Directors has decided to suspend public performances of FORTS: Build Your Own Adventure.

We want to thank our government officials for their diligence during this time.

The safety and health of our community, audiences, artists and theatre staff remains our highest priority. As the situation around COVID-19 evolves, we will continue to take precautions outlined by federal health authorities and state and local officials to ensure that Filament Theatre is ready to welcome patrons back after this temporary shut-down.

COVID-19 will have a significant financial impact on our organization and our industry as a whole in the near and long-term. We want to thank our donors and philanthropic partners, as well as our city and state officials, for their continued support as we all navigate the aftermath of this situation.

Regarding rescheduling performance of FORTS: Build Your Own Adventure:

All public performance of FORTS will be rescheduled between November 28 and December 27, 2020. Patrons with general admission tickets for FORTS will have their tickets exchanged for the FORTS performance of their choosing. Ticketed patrons will receive an email regarding how to proceed with this process and how best to contact us with any questions.
