Join Filament for a series of short, snappy jam-packed virtual workshops featuring a new technique each class! Work with Filament’s teaching artists and actors to learn new drama skills you can use for play-making at home. Sign-up for one, or for all four! Bringing the Outside In with Poetry — with Reji

Through poetry, voice, and speech we will create and explore the nuances of an outside environment inside. Together, we will perform a poem and create a soundscape reflective of our environment and text.
Making Music at Home — with Joelle

Anyone can have fun making music at home in this workshop for novice and experienced musicians alike! No instruments required but anything you’ve got lying around the house will be put to good musical use!

Calling all bibbbity-bobbing ninja night security guards! Come along to play all your favorite drama games and learn some new ones that work particularly well for playing with friends online!
After paying our teachers, all proceeds from these classes will be donated to GoodKids Mad City. We encourage you to learn more about this youth lead group of Black and Brown young people united in fighting to end violence in Chicago and other major cities across the country.

Join Filament for a special virtual storytelling class! Using drama games, storytelling prompts, and art projects, storytellers will construct parts of a story, pass them along to classmates each week, and enjoy silly surprises as they hear their story evolve. In 4 weeks, you’ll have a chain mail story to share.
